Here's the question everyone has been asking... How's Colton with the baby?

Colton loves his baby sister! He came to the hospital a few hours after she was born and he wanted to hold and love on her. He has done so well. We have noticed he is a little more whiney but that's ok we can deal with that. He calls her sissy, baby, or Myee. Colton likes to give her loves every morning when he wakes up. He gets her diapers, throws diapers away, and puts her clothes in the laundry basket. He is a good big brother!!

Here she is... Myleigh Rene' born Spetember 1 at 7:46a.m via C-section. She weighed 6lbs 15oz and she was 19in long. Myleigh is long and skinny. She is wonderful! We couldn't have asked for a better baby! Myleigh wakes up every three hours to eat, she is a great nurser, and hardly ever cries!
We had Myleigh's first doctors appointment yesterday 9/7/10 and the doctor kept saying she was prefect! We seem to think she is too!! When we left the hospital Friday she weighed 6lbs 8oz the nurses told me she wouldn't gain her birth weight back for about 2 weeks. At the appointment yesterday she weighed 6lbs 15 1/2 oz. She gained half and ounce! She is in the 52 percentile for her heighth and 21 percentile for her weight. We are working on getting some meat on her bones!

Ok so as you all can tell i'm extremely excited to be having a girl!!! They are just so much more fun to shop for and dress up! Don't get me wrong I LOVE LOVE LOVE my baby boy to death but the boy clothes just aren't as cute! ;) I dunno how Joe feels about this whole girl thing yet... He just doesn't get it. What can I say he's a "man"!

Joe and I made Myleigh's hairbow hanger tonight and I finished up some bows. I've decided i'm going to start selling bows and the hairbow hangers just for fun. This gives me something to do during the day while i'm babysitting. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested.

IT'S A GIRL!

Today I had my 18 week sonogram and we found out that we are having a GIRL! We are thrilled! Well I know I am. Joe doesn't show excitement... When she gets here we all know he's going to have that little girl wrapped around his finger. She will be daddys lil princess! I am due Septemeber 10th and do plan on having a scheduled c-section, which means I will probably go before then. The name as of right now will be Miley Rene'. Now it's time to start the shopping and hairbow making!

Easter Weekend

We started off our Easter Weekend with a BBQ on Friday, then the beach on Saturday, and Easter and family on Sunday. We had a FUN 3 day weekend with our little guy! The water at the Beach was a little too cold for Colton to get in so we laid out and played in the sand.

Stake Father Son Campout

Joseph, Colton, Jacob (Joe's Bro), and Dominic went on their first Stake Father Son Campout in March. They said the 2 boys had such a good time running around together and getting dirty. Can't wait til next year!

This year for Spring Break we had the oppurtunity to make a trip to Indiana to visit friends and family. (For those of you who didn't know I used to live there) We had such a wonderful time and lept busy. Colton and I really missed Joe tho! We wish he could've been there!

One Sunday before church I decided to cut Colton's hair because it was just getting too long. I was almost done and trying to trim up the back without the guard and Colton moves his head. Just wanted to let everyone know that Colton is FINALLY walking! It seemed like it was never going to happen. It's interesting to see how all kids are different and grow and develop in different ways and on their own time. I have gotten the blame from so many people that I held him way too much which is why he wasn't walking sooner... I don't think that's the case and even if it was who cares he's only gonna be a baby for so long! He's a cutie and thinks he's BIG STUFF now!

I try to do something fun at least once a week with the kids. Friday we went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was fun and they seemed to enjoy themselves. It was very muddy since we had a ton of rain the day before. They each got to pick out a small pumpkin and we came home and decorated them.

2 Year Anniversary

For our 2 year anniversary Joe and I left Colton with my parents and went to San Antonio and New Braunfels. In San Anontio we did the River Walk, Alamo, and ate at a really good Mexican Restraunt. That night we went and camped in New Braunfels and tubed the Comal River the next day. We had a really good time. We were ineed for a little get away. I love You Honey and I'm looking forward to spending many more anniversarys with you!

This was one long and miserable day for Joe, Colton, and I... The Friday Night before Colton's Party we all got 2 hours of sleep! Colton was screaming non stop all night. Nothing would make him happy. Joe took him on 2 car rides at 3a.m, we tried to have him watch cartoons, sleep with us, and even go outside and play. Nothing worked and we had no idea what was wrong with him. He had NO symptoms. We were getting ready to take him to the ER but I called my grandma (she's a nurse) to tell her and she told me she would be right over just to wait a minute. So her and my 2 aunts came over about 5:00a.m. and by the time they got here Colton was asleep. He slept for a couple hours until we had to get up and start getting ready for the party. When he woke up he had a fever so I just gave him some tylenol. Party went on and at the beginning he was ok but you could still tell he didn't feel good. By the time we got to the cake he didn't want to have anything to do with it. Took him to an after hours clinic right after the party and found out he had a really bad ear infection. What a fun way to spend your birthday!

Friday evening we atteneted my moms graduation from Nursing School at Moody Gardens. Afterwards we went out to dinner at Salsas off the Seawall. Im so irritated because none of my pictures from her graduation turned out! So here is the only one that I got of my grandma, Aunt Crickett, Colton, and myself at dinner.

Saturday we went to my moms house so I could finish up some scrapbook pages and Colton, Daddy, and my Brother Dalin had a jump on the trampoline.

Easter Sunday some friends of ours from Chicago came down to visit and attended our ward. During Sacrament Claire who is 2 had some pizza flavored goldfish and was sharing them with Joe. He loved them and told me he needed to get some. So I had to get a picture of him and his new FAVORITE snack he had to have. Thanks for sharing your fish Claire! My mom called me Tuesday night and told me she was looking at my brother Dalin's baby book and said he started rolling at 2 months and that Colton was behind. I said no I think Dalin's just advanced and that Colton would probably roll by Christmas since he has been trying. Wednesday when I was babysitting I laid Colton on the floor and within like ten minutes he rolled from his back to tummy. We are still working on tummy back he hasn't quite mastered that one yet.
